How do you stay active?
“A year ago, I became an avid hiker to cope with my life, school, and work stress. It’s one of my favorite things in the world to do, especially when I get to frequent the Angeles National Forest. More recently, I completed the Six Pack of Peaks Challenge. This is a challenge to hike the highest six peaks in Southern California.”
Where do you see yourself in the next 10 years?
“I’d love to be traveling the States working as a consultant to help build the capacity and partnership of nonprofit and government organizations that focus on social welfare policy. I also see myself being part of a team that helps train the next wave of youth leaders, organizers, and activists in social movements. And maybe even teaching courses on civic engagement and social welfare at a community college or university. In my spare time, I want to learn to speak and read a new language, such as Mandarin or Tagalog.”
